Fairy Festival and Cuyamaca Mountains

I took Athena to the fairy festival at Summers Past Farms this weekend. Chris took Rowan to the mountains to see a 100 mile running race so it was the perfect day for me and my older child to have some quality time. Athena was a little overwhelmed at first, but after a while she seemed to enjoy herself and liked seeing all the other fairies. She also loved just wandering around the gardens. She has already made plans to go back next year so we'll have to make this a tradition. The festival actually isn't anything spectacular in my opinion, but all the kids in their costumes make it into a special experience.

I heard Rowan had a good time at the race and was inspiring all the runners by his cuteness. Here he is enjoying nature.

A runner found this little airplane on the trail and gave it to Rowan.
