Mom, when will the whole world die?
Me: Well, I hope that never happens.
Athena: Well, when all the people are dead then the world will die.
Me: If there aren't any people, maybe some of the animals will still be alive?
Athena: Yes, but they will live underground because the world will be gone.
- This child is always asking me such difficult questions!

Lily asked me a similar question the other day that had to do with "when" everyone will be gone and leave her alone as the only person on the earth. Heavy stuff for 5.
She's oddly wise, that one. I think she knows stuff we don't.
