Snow Day

It snowed yesterday in parts of our county that rarely see snow! It was so exciting and so a few friends and I (Luci and Alex)decided to brave the roads and head to Julian. It was totally worth all the driving and my kids were so awesome. Rowan slept both ways the entire drive (about an hour each way), and Athena napped on the way home and was a champ on the drive out. It was just a perfect day, other than the fact that by the time we got to the snow area to "sled", Athena was wiped out and not that excited. She played excitedly for a few minutes at least. Oh, and she cried when her friend P nailed her with a snowball and the snow went down her back! Rowan absolutely loved the snow and kept trying to get back over to it while I was dressing the kids in dry clothes (they were soaked because hey this is San Diego and the snow doesn't last long!)
